Lighting of the Andalusian Parliament
Hospital de las Cinco Llagas - Seville
A Historic Project
In 1982, Artesanía Hijos de Estévez carried out the complete lighting of the headquarters of the Andalusian Parliament, the historic Hospital de las Cinco Llagas in Seville. This emblematic Renaissance building, one of the most important in Andalusia, required a lighting solution that respected its historical and architectural value.
The project included the design, construction, and installation of lanterns, wall lights, and lamps entirely handcrafted, maintaining the artisanal tradition that has characterized Hijos de Estévez since 1911.
Technical Requirements
To qualify for the project award, it was essential to adapt to very specific technical elements, demonstrating the company's capacity for innovation and adaptation.
Complete Safety
Special safety glass was used that, in case of breakage, prevents pieces from falling to the ground, minimizing risks in a high-traffic public space.
Design and Manufacturing
Each lantern was specifically designed to harmoniously integrate into the Renaissance architecture of the Hospital de las Cinco Llagas. The manufacturing of the pieces required weeks of manual work by our most experienced artisans.
Artisanal Process
The elaboration of each piece required a meticulous artisanal process, combining traditional techniques with technical innovations to meet the safety and quality standards required for a building of this importance.
