El Zacatín, Granada Commercial Center

With the presidency of D. Gabriel Díaz Berbel (1940-2011) in the mayor's office, and under the direction of the Urban Planning Management, a significant improvement was established for the commercial complex and adjacent streets of Granada's commercial center. This ambitious project sought to revitalize one of the city's most emblematic commercial spaces.

After major remodeling works that completely transformed the area, the new 'Zacatín' was inaugurated in 1998, recovering the splendor of this historic Granadian commercial space with a contemporary and functional vision.

The El Zacatín lighting project represents a paradigmatic example of how traditional craftsmanship can be integrated into contemporary urban renewal projects. Our lanterns not only serve a practical lighting function but also contribute to defining the visual identity of this emblematic commercial space.

Since its re-inauguration in 1998, El Zacatín has regained its role as one of Granada's most vibrant commercial centers. Our participation in this project demonstrates the versatility of Granadian craftsmanship to adapt to different architectural contexts, from historic buildings to modern commercial spaces.
