Remodeling in Two Phases
The remodeling of Calderería Street, one of the most picturesque and tourist streets in Granada, was carried out in two distinct phases, as this charming street is divided into Calderería Alta and Calderería Baja, commonly known as the 'street of tea shops' due to the large number of Arabic tea establishments that populate it.
This street allows a unique walk between the lower part of the Albaicín and the tourist center of the city, offering visitors and locals an experience that combines tradition, culture and typical Granada commerce.
Connecting the Albaicín
It is one of the streets that connects the lower part of the Albaicín with the tourist center of Granada, creating an essential route for visitors who want to experience the essence of the city.
Phased Project
The first phase of the remodeling was completed in 2005, marking the beginning of the transformation of this street into a more welcoming and well-lit pedestrian space.
The Street of Tea Shops
Popularly known for its concentration of Arabic tea shops, Calderería Street is a center of tea culture and a meeting point for both tourists and locals.

The design in brass with a matte black finish was carefully selected to harmonize with the historical environment of the Albaicín, creating a visual dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and the centuries-old architecture that characterizes this neighborhood declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This project demonstrates Hijos de Estévez's commitment to the conservation of Granada's urban heritage, applying centuries-old craft techniques to public lighting projects that improve the experience of residents and visitors.
